Data Backup
Sendouts provides several layers of data backup and redundancy. Each data server contains a RAID 5 server configuration, which means that two copies of the data are spread out over five hard drives on each server. If any hard drive were to fail, it would be transparent to the end users. Also, we employ SunGard’s own data backup services to backup the data each day to tape. Your data is protected and available in the unlikely event of a hardware failure.
Your users with administrator privileges also have the ability to download a copy of their own data at any time from within Sendouts Pro. Data can be downloaded in an XML or MSDE format, two common formats in the industry for no additional charge.
Within Sendouts Pro is a recycle bin, similar to that found in Microsoft Windows. Anytime a user deletes a record, it first goes to the recycle bin where it can be recovered by an administrator. The recycle bin can be manually emptied or after a specific amount of time the system will empty old records automatically.
Data Ownership
Data entered into the Sendouts Pro application is the property of the client firm. As discussed in Data Backup above, any user with administrative privileges has the ability to download the firm’s full database at any time. Data is exported in common formats such as XML or Microsoft’s MSDE format for no additional charge.
