Our History

Like any valuable innovation, Sendouts was developed to meet a pressing need. In the late 1990s, Rick Hall and Don Breckenridge, Jr., owners of a software development company, struggled to keep up with the hiring demand they faced as their company grew. They required a better way to find the talent they needed while managing the hiring process from multiple office locations. Through this inadequacy, the owners immediately recognized a huge opportunity in the recruiting and staffing industry.

Hall and Breckenridge refocused their development efforts toward a web-based applicant tracking system, and in 1999, Sendouts was launched for the first time.

Sendouts was conceived from a desire to help companies find better talent through a better process. That same vision continues today under the leadership of Brian Hopcraft, President and CEO. Hopcraft’s focus on customer service and solutions is the hallmark of Sendouts, and a highlight in the recruiting software industry.

Today, Sendouts continues to meet the needs of recruiting and staffing firms by supporting every new development with customer feedback, both within the application as well as from a service and support standpoint.

If our features do not solve a problem for recruiters, or if our customers cannot access a feature because there is not a solid framework of support, we aren’t adding real value. That is why we continually interview, survey, and speak with our customers and industry leaders to provide the best recruiting software value on the market.

Sendouts founded by Rick Hall and Don Breckenridge Jr.

Version 1 of Sendouts is released

2001

A resume parsing engine incorporated, enhancing candidate matching capability

2002

Version 2 of Sendouts is released, giving recruiters better tools to reduce administrative tasks

Version 3 is released and quickly becomes the ATS of choice for large IT recruiting firms

2004

Sendouts tightens its integration with Careerbuilder, making it the first ATS to post and source its massive database

2005

Citing explosive growth, Sendouts expands into new office space in Clayton, MO

2006
